K-Tape – A Brief Overview

Have you seen people either on TV, at the gym or out and about and they have bright coloured tape on their bodies? Well, that is kinesiology tape!

What is K-tape?

Have you seen people either on TV, at the gym or out and about and they have bright coloured tape on their bodies? Well, that is kinesiology tape! It comes in MANY different colours and patterns but it’s not all about the colours and the patterns – the tape is serving a purpose.

Why should you use K-tape?

I recently completed a course that taught different injuries and scenarios which K-tape can be used.

It can be used for acute joint pain, muscle tension, swelling, trigger points, atrophied muscles and hypertonic muscles.

Over the next few days I will get into more detail about:

  • The tale of the tape
  • What is the tape made out of
  • How does this help your condition
  • The benefits of the tape
  • Side effects
  • What conditions it can help with
  • How to remove the tape
  • How long to keep the tape on
  • Is it safe for kids
  • Can you shower and bath with the K-tape on

I am excited to finally add this to my tool box and see how I can help you!

I have already had some positive feedback from the people who have let me practice on them as well as clients who have tried K-tape in the past!

In the coming days I will also update you on how you can book this service, and the cost etc…

Stay tuned.

If you have any questions or want to know anything about K-tape leave a comment below and I will be sure to address it over the next little while!
