"First of all I would like to say "Hello" and I hope that everyone is doing well and staying healthy and safe in these uncertain times."
COVID-19 Icon

Due to the current developments in Canada since the outbreak of COVID-19 majority of us are working from home. Perhaps you have a great set up at home already (a nice comfortable home office) but if you don’t below are some tips and tricks you can try to ensure good posture and limit strain on your body.

First of all I would like to say “Hello” and I hope that everyone is doing well and staying healthy and safe in these uncertain times. We miss being at the clinic and seeing our clients- we can’t wait to be back in the clinic soon I hope.

Tips for your HOME desk area:

-Use books, step stools, phone books (haha) or a laundry basket for added height.

-the above can be used under your laptop to raise the screen to be at eye level OR under your feet for support.

-Set up a standing desk at the kitchen counter if needed

-Alternate between a sitting position and standing -If you are on a call (try standing or walking)

-Set a timer on your phone to remind yourself to get up and move.

-Elbows and wrists should be supported.

-Place a rolled up bath towel behind your back for added support (use a elastic to keep this in a roll).

-Use a head set for calls or speaker phone (to avoid the phone crunch between your ear and shoulder).

-Avoid sitting with legs crossed or tucked under you while working.
